Richmond Memorial Library

I took Kennedy, Ryan, Cooper and Landon to the library today while Trish was working. Taking 4 children anywhere is a handful but the kids did okay after I bribed them with McDonald's if they were good! Of course then they wanted happy meals, I am a sucker! They all enjoyed dressing up today at the library! Oh, by the way, remember the 15 hours of reading we have to do before the end of the summer to get a prize? Ryan has read about 8 hours, Landon about 6. We still have aways to go.... I will keep you posted!

July 23, 2009- Biking Fun

The boys and I played soccer in the yard yesterday and then played on the bikes. We had a blast!

July 19, 2009- Johnson Family Christmas

The Johnson Family Christmas was in July, yes July! Aunt Patti decorated and gave out presents and the kids as well as the adults all had fun. The swimming pool was a hit and now I think Ryan thinks we should have an inside pool too! I would have to agree but I haven't won the lottery lately so this will have to wait! Thanks Aunt Patti for a great time! It was so nice seeing all of the family. Look how cute Landon and Aidan are! Julie was there and she got to play with all the kids, Ryan and Landon enjoyed it. I think the Christmas party should always be in July!

July 18, 2009 - Jeff's Memorial Golf Tournament

My Brother Jeff's Memorial Golf Tournament was this past Saturday. I had a really great time, the only thing better would have been if Jeff could have been there. My team consisted of my Mom, Trish, and Aunt MaryEllen. We came in last but it still was fun. When they gave out awards this year, my sisters and I all got called up for an award. We got clocks with a picture of all of us girls and Jeff. The picture in the clocks was taken August of 2006. We were all home together and we went to Jeff's and got some family pictures. It was a nice relaxing day, one that I will remember forever.
This year Jackie had an idea for a Sister's Award at the tournament. The 10th place team and the 7th place team all got key chains from us, a token of appreciation from us for playing and supporting my brother's daughters, our nieces. 10 represents Jeff's month he was born and 7 was the day he was born on. Thank you Jackie for having this idea and thank you Jack, Jules and Trish for standing up there in tears handing them out with me. There is nothing that we can't accomplish when we work together as one! I love you ladies so much! I certainly wish we lived closer together but at least texting is an occurence that usually happens everyday! Anyway before I get all choked up more than I already am.... it was a fun day!

July 17-July 20 - Camping at Campbell Campgrounds

Fred, Ryan, Landon, Ree Ree (Fred and Kevin's Mom), Trish, Kevin, Kennedy, Cooper, Mom, Dad, Grandma McCarthy and I all went camping! Some camped more days than others (Fred, Ryand, Landon and I stayed until Monday everyone else left Sunday) but I think fun was had by all! We went swimming, had a campfire, played on the playground, went for walks, played minature golf, got some tattoos and ate! On Saturday, all the adults except for Ree Ree and Grandma McCarthy went golfing in Jeff's Memorial Golf Tournament. Ree Ree and Grandma watched the kids all day, thank goodness for them. We owe you big time for watching all four of them, thank you again so very much!!!! We definitely appreciated it! On Sunday night, Jackie came to visit us at the campgrounds and had dinner with us. It was nice to chat with her and the boys really enjoyed playing with her. The boys even gave her a hands in (hands in the middle- "Go Team!"). It really was a nice weekend! I am ready to go camping again!

July 11, 2009 - Nicole & Dave's Wedding

Nicole & Dave's Wedding turned out to be beautiful after a very rainy start. The actual wedding ceremony was outside and Nicole was worried. When she walked down the aisle and up to Dave, as soon as she faced Dave the clouds parted the sun came out and the birds began to chirp. It was perfect! Landon walked with Fred and ReeRee and Kennedy, Cooper and Ryan walked right before Nicole and her Dad. They all did really well, better than I had hoped. Thank goodness! The reception was at Batavia Downs and Kevin was in charge! He did an excellent job! Everything was wonderful and Ryan and Landon had an absolute blast. It was a wonderful day! Congratulations Dave and Nicole, we wish you health, love and happiness forever and ever!

July 6, 2009- Rochester Zoo!

Today we went to the Rochester Zoo. The boys would go to the zoo every day, they love it. I admit though I am a big fan myself! Today we saw "Laska," a 10 year old, 500 pound White Bengal Tiger. He is absolutely beautiful! He is on loan at the Rochester Zoo until Labor Day. I will be sad to see him go. Research says that there is a 1 in 10,000 chance that a white tiger will occur. They don't survive in the wild but they do in captivity. Anyway... he is my favorite at the zoo. Ryan's favorite animals are the beaded lizrad and the Gila Monster, both venemous. He is so intrigued by them. Landon loves the elephants and rhinos.
