Landon's Christmas Party

Landon's Christmas party was yesterday at school! They sang and ate and had a great time! Miss Zinni and Mrs. Saunders are his teachers and we all adore them!!!! Landon of course was the last one done eating and the last one to leave! His father would say, "He is just like his mother!"

Happy Birthday Nana!

Nana turned 57 on the 20th! Happy Birthday Nana! We love you!

Grandpee's Birthday

Last Sunday was Grandpee's (Fred's Dad) 58th birthday. We had pizza at Mee Mee and Grandpee's and the boys got to help put up the train under their tree! Of course when we got there Landon had fallen asleep in the car! He woke up in time for the food and festivities!

Breakfast with Santa

Last Saturday we went to breakfast with Santa at Applebee's for the UPK YMCA program! Ryan asked for the Smurf movie and a DSi. Landon asked for chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese! Ryan asked for a bottle of beer for his Dad- Mrs. Claus laughed and said that she remembered Ryan from last year (last year he asked for a case of beer for his Dad)! We put in for the raffle baskets but we didn't win but that is okay! We had fun though and saw a lot of friends!

Adventures of Skeeter The Elf

Here are some more pictures of Skeeter the Elf and what he has been up too! Ryan and Landon are enjoying searching for him every morning!

Landon the Celebrity

Landon's picture was in the paper yesterday for the YMCA Breakfast with Santa at Applebees that takes place this Saturday. Landon is eating a donut in the picture. He loves that he was in the paper- he thinks he really is a celebrity! Well- he is my little celebrity anyway.....

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Here are the boys today in front of the tree!

Ryan & Fred Go On an Adventure

Fred took Ryan hunting on Sunday, December 11th! They sat in a ground blind and of course Ryan fell asleep! He woke to the sound of Fred's shotgun going off! Ryan was so excited- they just had to find the deer.... they looked and couldn't find it but Fred said they weren't going to give up so they looked harder and then they found it! A button buck and Ryan held the deers head the whole time Fred sliced it open and gutted it. Ryan also wanted to know exactly what parts Fred was taking out and he also wondered if they could take the heart home- thank goodness Fred said no! Anyway, Fred said this hunting trip was priceless!

Sugar Cookies

We made sugar cookies with Fred's Mom on Sunday. The kids love to decorate them- I think that they did a super job! They taste fantastic- I've eaten too many of them! On Monday I made two dozen molasses cookies, two dozen gingerbread cookies, two dozen oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies and two dozen peanut butter with Hershey Kisses! All of them are delicious! Now, I just have to give them away so I can stop eating them! LOL

Skeeter the Elf

What has Skeeter been up to? Reporting to Santa at night and hiding for Ryan and Landon to find every day! It has been fun!

Elf on the Shelf

Have you see the Elf on the Shelf that is sold in the Target stores? Well, I thought the $30 was a little steep so I made my own. I copied some of the book and bought my own Elf at the Dolar General (the elf is cute and my cost for the book and the elf- $3.00)! Anyway, the story is that this elf watches the children all day and reports back to Santa each night whether the children have been naughty or nice. Then the elf hides in a different location so the children can find him every morning. The children can never touch him because then the elf will loose his magic.... Ryan and Landon jump out of bed every morning to find the elf, which they named Skeeter. They love it and they have been trying to be very good! I love this little elf! I also made one for Trish and the kids. Their elf is named Maddox. They are enjoying him as well! The pictures show where the kids have found him so far!

Breakfast with Santa at Jackson School

Today was breakfast with Santa at Jackson School. We had pancakes, sausage and juice. The kids made a couple crafts and put their names in for the basket raffles (which we ultimately did not win). We saw Santa AGAIN! On a side note here... when I was a little girl it was a treat to see Santa, we would go to the mall to see him and that was the only place he was...now a days Santa is everywhere! Even Landon has said he has seen enough of him! We of course have another breakfast with Santa on the 17th and so therefore it will be our 6th time seeing Santa- and who knows how many times we will run into him again before then! Anyway, we had a good time today!
