Fred finally shot a turkey today. After a year of moping that he didn't get one, he finally did it! The poor turkey didn't even see it coming and now he is frozen in our friends freezer until he gets stuffed. He is going on top of our fireplace, can't wait....... One turkey down....one turkey to go!

Happy Birthday Ryan Joseph!

Wow, Ryan is 4 years old today. Those four years have gone so fast. Just before he went to bed tonight I told him all about the day he was born and he just ate that up. He loved hearing how he decided to come 5 weeks early and that I didn't know what to name him until I actually got to see him at the hospital. That was a crazy day.... Today Ryan got up at 7:30 and raced for the kitchen, he has already got down the birthday routine that the presents will be waiting for him on the kitchen table. I did manage to get him to wait so I could take a picture of him with the presents and the balloons. He was excited as he ripped through his presents and he actually was quite nice when Landon opened two of them. He got some new shorts, two super hero villans, a little Wolverine toy and a super hero cartoon video. He loved everything. Then after opening we showered, got dressed and headed off to Dunkin Donuts for some munchkins on the way to the Buffalo Zoo with Fred's mom (ReeRee). The weather turned out to be nice, the day started chilly and rainy. Ryan's favorite animal at the zoo today was the Rhinos. The baby Rhino has gotten so much bigger since last year. He is adorable! He just stood there with his Mama eating some hay and later when we checked back with them they were napping together. Landon loved the Hyenas, he called for them all day. "Hena, Hena, Hena!" They have a new rainforest exhibit there and it is awesome. It really rains in there, amazing. We then had some lunch, checked out the bears for the second time and quickly saw the river otters and we left for home. We then returned the bike we bought Ryan to one store (it just wasn't what we wanted) and got another bike at another store. A new Spiderman bike-whooooo-hoo! Ryan rides with his head down, he has to learn to keep his head up, quite funny. Then we picked up his Kung Fu Panda cake and went home. We had dinner (Ryan had McDonald's and we had chicken wraps from home-yum). Then all the Grandparents came over and Trish and the kids for cake and left over brownie sundaes! We sang Ryan Happy Birthday and Landon managed to grab the cake and get a whole handful of icing! Funny kid! Everyone stayed for awhile and played outside. Then we went in and got cleaned up and watched the movie Spiderman 2. The kids are asleep and I am heading there too!!!!!!! What a great weekend! Ryan said his favorite was seeing the Rhino's (well maybe the Polar Bear too Mom!) at the zoo. Happy 4th Birthday Ryan. We love you so much! We hope you had the best birthday yet.

Halloween in April

Today was Ryan's Halloween Birthday party. It was a blast and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. The weather was finally in the 80's, thank goodness. The party started at 12 and everyone ate cold cuts, chili, veggie tray and a bread bowl. At 1 o'clock we went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. (I set it up with our neighbors ahead of time)! You should have seen some of the peoples faces when they saw us walking around the block in costumes- priceless! We came back and smacked our shark (Jabber Jaws) pinata around, that was fun. Then we opened gifts- Ryan's favorite was Wolverine on a motorcycle! Then we had brownie sundaes- yummy! Ryan said the best thing about his party was hitting the pinata! I included a couple pictures of the day and one of us all dressed up and the watermelon I carved!

1st Picnic of the Year

Last night we had our first picnic of the year. The weather was wonderful. We invited our neighbors Danielle and "B" over for a cookout. Landon made a huge mess, he was filthy by the end of the night. Ryan played outside all day, he loved it. After dinner, Trish, Kennedy and Cooper came over for Smores and we grown ups had some cocktails. Danielle gave the kids a squirt of whip cream in their mouths, they thought that that was the most awesome thing! Fred and "B" had really cool wigs on! It was a great time!

Ryan the Leader

Ryan was the leader on Thursday at his school this week. He could hardly wait to bring in his stuffed animal bear head that goes on his wall at home to show his friends. I didn't see him show his classmates but I guess he explained where it went in his room and then he put it in front of his face and growled. The whole class laughed. He loved it. He got to wear a crown for the day and they sang Happy Birthday to him. He passed out his treat and had a blast! I included some pictures and a video of him growling for the camera.

Daredevil Landon

Landon is quite the ham and I definitely think that he is going to be trouble! Yesterday he stood on the bottom stair and yelled "Jump," he then of course tried to jump and totally fell. He was alright and actually got right up and attempted to do it again. I stopped him because he was giving me a heart attack.
He throws himself on the ground for no other reason but that he thinks it is funny. He loves going outside and if he could he would open the door and let himself out. He yells, "side, side!" We have to keep the door shut to the basement/sidedoor because he is constantly going down the two stairs to the landing and trying to get outside. The landing isn't very big and it makes me nervous that he fall down the stairs. Although on one occasion he was wandering around the basement laughing while I was yelling out his name trying to find where he went to. My little escape artist!
He does not want to sit in his highchair anymore so we have a booster seat that he can sit in that attaches to a chair. Well, he doesn't want to sit in that chair now, he wants to sit on the table, yes on top of the table. I tell him to get down and he tells me, "No!" Everything is no right now.
Just this week he has decided to let us know that he is pooping or that he has pooped. He yells, "poop!" Maybe I can get him on the potty.....
He will lay completly still for eveyone else to change his diaper except for me and just about everyone else can brush his teeth except for me, what the heck?
And.... he is still yelling for, "boob!" Someday I will wean and really mean it but for now he won't let me quit...
He does not like to sleep for fear of missing something, yells Mama almost every night at 2 am (call me, I am probably up-LOL). Someday I will get a full night sleep...
The other day he was in our pantry and got into the dog bones, yummy- he ate part of one and offered me the other half... he has eaten dog food too, the boy LOVES to eat. Just this morning he ate his breakfast and Ryan's and I came home quickly for a late breakfast/early lunch and he ate half my bagel, egg and cheese. The other morning he ate 3 scrabbled eggs himself!!! One day he ate three full bowls of soup! Goodness!
He is a little ball of energy and defintely keeps me laughing! He amazes me everyday at how much he knows. I love him to death the little troublemaker! Definitely different than Ryan... which is a good thing, no two are the same and besides he keeps me on my toes!
