Here they are at a casino already.....Julie took this on her camera phone. Thank you! I hope they will send me more pictures of their trip so that I can post pictures of all of them! We will miss Nana and Papa, the kids are already asking for them......

We had a busy day today..... We got up early and went to Applebee's for a pancake breakfast to support the girl scouts. Then we went to Target and got some snacks for the Superbowl on Sunday. Then we went home and cleaned up so that Ryan's friends could come over for his playdate. Ryan had Cooper, Hunter, Dominic, Brendan, and of course Landon over to play. They played from 1:30 until 5:30. The kids played with all of Ryan and Landon's toys and had pizza and brownies. The kids had a blast and I am sure we will have more kids over soon! After everyone was picked up Landon and Fred fell asleep on the couch and Ryan and I headed off to Connor's hockey game. Connor's team ended up losing 6-1 and Connor was real depressed about it. We told him it wasn't all his fault that the team lost.... we went home and I got the kids showered and ready for bed and then zzzzzzzzz!

Ryan asked Fred's Mom (ReeRee) to make Valentine's sugar cookies with him. She made the batter and cut out the cookies and baked them, the boys helped! They had loads of fun! Then when I got home from work, I went and bought some frosting and went and picked up Kennedy and Cooper to help us frost the cookies. The kids made a complete mess of the table, the cookies and the kitchen but they had a blast. Landon was eating the cookies and sprinkles...The rest of them were frosting their fingers and yeah the cookies. They love to sprinkle and sprinkle and did I mention sprinkle the cookies? Those cookies taked really great too! Thank you ReeRee!

Hamilton Happenings!

This week Ryan jumped off the starting block at school (yeah)! He has been letting the teachers just lower him into the water. He finally decided to jump- we were so excited and I got to wiitness it! I am so proud of him!
Cooper went to wrestling practice this week and decided that it is not for him. He kept getting laid out on his back and pretty much didn't like it or know what to do. So no more wrestling but he is amazing at hockey! Cooper skated on his rink and scored goals in the video above. I love it.
Landon is slightly naughty.... if you tell him not to do something or to not touch something- he goes and does it automatically. We need some listening ears. Anyone got any for my 2 year old?
Fred and the boys sent me flowers this week at work, "Just Because!" They were Daisies- my favorite. They are such happy flowers.

1st hockey experience

Ryan has been ice skating for a couple weeks now and is improving slowly. We went this past Saturday and got hockey equipment for him. His favorite thing so far is his Sydney Crosby #87 hockey stick. Yes, he is a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, only because Crosby is amazing! Today he went to Cooper's hockey practice to see if he liked it. Ryan was overwhelmed with the amount of kids there and that they can all skate. He did good but he was unsure. He says he wants to give it one more shot....so maybe Saturday morning he will try again. I am glad that he isn't giving up and wants to try again! We will let you know how it goes!!! Just so you know- Landon screamed the whole time Ryan was on the ice because he wanted to be out there too! 40 minutes of screaming- oh man!

Goofing Around to a Serious Note

Here are the boys being goofy today right before we had dinner. They continue to crack me up.... Trish and the kids are coming over to pick us up in a little bit to go to the high school for a fundraiser for one of my students that has brain cancer. Tonight faculty and students are participating in "Going Bald for Trey!" About 20 + people are getting their head shaved tonight and we are wearing our Trey t-shirts. Then the girls volleyball team is taking on the boys soccer team in a volleyball game. There are raffles and prizes tonight. It should be fun. There have been other benefits and fundraisers in honor of Trey to help pay his medical bills. Trey is a freshman at the high school and the tumor was found last July. He however has been going through chemo and his docotor was happy to say over Christmas break that the tumor is gone. When chemo is finished he still has to go through radiation. But it is good news for Trey, thank goodness. Trey is looking forward to coming back to school sometime in the future! (Update: the benefit last night raised $4,000 for Trey's medical expenses- it was a wonderful night and Trey came and watched as his Varsity Basketball coach got his head shaved!)
