Abundant Living

Our family. We push each other's buttons and test one another. We blame someone else for the mistakes we make, say things we don't mean and fight over some of the silliest things. We share our most triumphant successes and our most devastating failures. We inflict pain and say hurtful things while kissing to heal it at the same instant. We love, laugh, share, care, defend and grow with one another. Although time will change us, we will always be family.

The Johnson-Hamilton Family went to Disney World at the end of June. We had a total blast- the kids were awesome! We left June 22nd as soon as I got out of work. We went in our car and Trish, Kevin & the kids and Mom and Dad went in the motorhome. We arrived in Florida on Saturday and went to see our friends Jeff & Mary and their son Logan. We stayed with them that night and we all tried gator tail. It was chewy, but not horrible. The next day it poured but we braved it and went to Gator Land! That place is amazing- the boys loved seeing the gators, especially the white albino one! We ate dinner with them and then headed off to Fort Wilderness where we were staying for the week in the cabins. It was pouring so bad..... We finally made it there and we were pretty happy with the cabin! The next day was Monday and we went into the Animal Kingdom! It was raining so hard it was coming done sideways! But the great thing about the rain was that there was hardly anyone there- wait time in the line 10 minutes at the most! AWESOME!!!! We rode basically all the rides and had so much fun! The kids even got on the Kali River Rapids and got soaked!!! Not to self...the kids will just wear their bathing suits every day- it is just easier! We went into Epcot the next day and the kids favorite ride was the Living Seas with Nemo! They loved seeing the fish and turtles and the manitee's. They also loved Imagination with Figment. The countries were not the kids favorite but amazingly they loved The Land. The fireworks also were very neat and loud! We went to the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday. The kids favorite was the Laugh Floor and I have to admit, I loved it too. It was funny! Aunt Julie & Uncle Eddie came this day and hung out with us for awhile. We went to the Haunted Mansion and rode the Barnstormer (The Great Goofini). Landon rode the children's roller coaster with Trish and about 10 seconds into it he was ready to get off the ride! After that ride our motto was, "....and then we went through the ring of fire!" We rode lots of rides and the boys never complained.... We went to the Hollywood Studios on Thursday. We got there early and ran to get a fast pass for Toy Story Mania. After getting our fast passes we looked to see how long the line was for the ride and it was well over an hour and a half! It was worth getting the fast pass for that ride- we all enjoyed it! The kids really liked Muppet Vision and playing on the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground! We really had so much fun in the parks but it was definitely tiring and we ended up every day carrying the kids out! On Friday we went to Blizzard Beach and spent most of the day there! *Wear aqua shoes- the floor to the pools is rough- Kennedy was bleeding 5 minutes into the trip. * We had a blast there!!! Saturday we got up and went to Downtown Disney- better during the day then at night, less people. We got a few things to take home with us! Then it was time to leave Disney- we were sad, we wanted to stay longer!!! We headed to Mary & Jeff's again and had lunch and then were on the rode to Virginia Beach for three days! We stay at the Ramada on the beach and even though the pictures online make this place look wonderful it was not!!! We made the best of it and had a lot of fun! We finally got home on the 4th of July! It was an amazing trip and we are looking forward to going to Disney again! We bought a motorhome, traded in our pull behind camper and we are taking it to Florida this summer! Going back to Disney to see all that we missed last year! I am excited!!!
