The Pledge

Ryan had to learn the Pledge of Allegiance at school this week and he did a super job! He was the only one to know it by Monday afterschool! Landon listened to Ryan Fred and I so much that he learned it too! What a smart kid- both of them!

Here is Ryan skating without his stick. He is getting better!!!!!

Winter Wonderland

Last Sunday the whole family went outside and played in the snow. Fred had made an awesome igloo and still was trying desperately to fix the ice rink. The ice rink would have probably been successful this week but then the warmer weather hit. (I am not complaining about warmer weather but it figures!!!! That is how things go for us.) We had a fire and "Uncle B" and "Aunt Danielle" came out to play also bringing hot chocolate with them! Just what we needed to stay out a little bit longer. We did have a good laugh when "Uncle B" tried to tackle the snowman and got tripped up in the snow and went a** over tea cup. He did eventually get the snowman... We had lots of fun in the snow!

Snow Fun

The boys and I needed to get out of the house today so we chose to get dressed warm and go out and play in the snow. Unfortunately, the snow was not snowman making snow. Ryan and I were a little bummed but we decided to make snow angels instead. They came out okay seeing how tha snow is really hard. We attempted a snow ball fight but the snow compacted so hard it was like throwing rocks at each other. So instead we just kinda sat in the snow, and enjoyed the sun that was shining. Landon doesn't like to walk in the snow, he just likes to lay in it or sit on my lap. So we just kind of snuggle in the snow together. Beats being cooped up in the house!

Ryan goes to the dentist

Ryan went to the dentist this past Monday and did a super job! While I got my teeth cleaned he sat nicely and played with his Spiderman toys. When it was his turn he went right over jumped up in the chair and opened his mouth. He asked for Root Beer toothpaste when it was time to have his teeth polished. He did a great job. Now in August....Landon will come too to see what the dentist is all about. They will look in his mouth and let him ride in the chair. We shall see how that goes. I am thinking he will not sit as nicely as Ryan did..... Oh, and this time Ryan asked for an extra tooth brush for Landon- which was really nice of him!

Valentine's Party

Trish came over last night and we had a little Valentine's Day gift exchange for the kids. Trish and the gang are headed out to Ohio for a hockey tournament with Connor today and won't be back until Tuesday so we had to get together with the kids! The kids played and had fun and got neat little Valentine's cards and little goodies! Yummy! Oh, yeah and my boys finally got HAIRCUTS! Thank goodness- they were looking scruffy! Thanks Trish!
